Bearsden House Extension
An extension to the dwelling that derives its form from that of the original house, the design cleverly deals with changes in level internally to create a large, open plan living space that leads out into the garden beyond. Expansive glazing brings the outside in, with further decking and level change reaching out into the garden. Capitalising on the view upstairs, a large picture window and high ceiling creates an airy, spacious bedroom filled with light, with a unique ensuite bathroom and walk in wardrobe all housed within a timber shard rising from the pitched roof. The images below illustrate exploration into the development of the design.
